Join us for a group visit!



    UW Tacoma is excited to offer visit opportunities to a variety of groups. We welcome community based organizations, middle or high school classes, community college groups and more. To best serve your group’s needs, we offer different visit experiences tailored to age and interest levels. Our group visit components are listed below: 

    Group Visit Components

    • Campus Tour– Explore UW Tacoma on a guided tour led by one of our student ambassadors. 
    • Admissions Presentation – Learn about admissions, majors, and student life in a session facilitated by an admissions counselor. 
    • Academic Workshop (DREAM Kit) – Engage in a hands-on learning experience related to our academic programs. Academic Workshop 
    Our goal is to provide an experience that is age-appropriate, aligns with your learning objectives, and positively impacts students’ perception of the college experience.

    Example of Visit Schedules: 

    Early Exposure Group Visit (Recommended for Middle School Students) 2.5 hrs. 

    Schedule: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM 

    • 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM | Arrival/ Campus Tour 

    • 11:15 AM - 11:45 AM | Lunch 

    • 11:45 AM - 12:30 PM | Academic Workshop (DREAM Kit) 

    • 12:30 PM | Group Departure 

    High School & Beyond Group Visit (Recommended for High School, Community College Students and above) 3hrs 

    Schedule: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM 

    • 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM | Arrival/Admissions Presentation 

    • 10:30 AM - 10:45 AM | Student Panel 

    • 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM | Campus Tour 

    • 11:45 AM - 12:15 PM | Lunch 

    • 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM | Academic Workshop (DREAM Kit, Optional) 

    • 1:00 PM | Group Departure 


    Customizing Your Visit 

    If you need any changes or have special requests for your visit, please let us know! We’re happy to work with you to see if we can accommodate your needs. This includes modifications such as adjusting the schedule to align with bus arrival and departure times or other logistical considerations.
